Brandon and Talena have been involved together in Aussies since 1994.

Before that time Brandon grew up with Aussies and showed them at a very young age. He had a great mentor that got him going in the right direction. He trained with one of the best know trainers of all times The Koehlers. As a Junior he competed in Junior Handling, Conformation, Herding and Obedience. He brought with him what became our foundation dog... Ch. Moonlight's License To Chill CD STDd CGC.

Talena grew up in a family that enjoyed animals but never had any real interest in dogs or showing. In Junior High she bought her first pure bred dog, a miniature Schnauzer. Together they joined a local dog 4-H club and it was an instant love! With a very supportive mother she started going to dog shows all over. And in time she was introduced to the Australian Shepherd. It was love at first site and with the help of a wonderful breeder she purchased Bateham's Out of the Mist CD CGC which became Tri-Smith's foundation Bitch.

We breed to exceed the standard. Our breeding goal is to produce a beautiful dog that is structurally sound and intellegent. We breed for Health, Temperament, soundness, and versatility. All of our breeding stock is checked for the following: OFA clearance: We only breed Good or Excellent rated dogs Eyes are checked yearly by a certified opthomoligist Brucellosis is checked before every breeding on both dog and bitch. All of our puppies are sold on a full written guarantee. Dogs sold as pets are required to be spayed or neutered and are sold on limited registration. All altered dogs may compete at dogs shows in many events offered.

Litters:
We only have 1 to 2 litters per year. We chose sire and dam very carefully. Sire and dam are chosen for structure, temperament, genetic health, and over all conformation. Puppies are born and spend the first 4 weeks in our house with us, cats, and two children. They are then moved into a dog building where mom has more room to teach them important doggie traits. They still visit the house very often and get lots of attention. All puppies are trained to stand on a grooming table and are started on walking on a leash. Puppies are given their first shots and worming. Our puppies are not allowed to leave until they are at least 8 weeks old.

Thanks for learning more about us! We are proud to represent the Australian Shepherd breed and invite any new comers to ask questions!
